Evaluation 5:

This is a shot of our production logo. We wanted to establish to the audience the type of producers of the film (females) which would establish possible genres of our film. For instance the audience may assume that the film is romance, chick flick, rom-com.

The titles for our film was the colour pink. Pink is associated with girls, girly things and fun so we established to the target audience is mainly for girls.

The still images of the pencils and pens also convey to the target audience (pre-teens) that the film will be school based therefore pre teen boys are welcome to watch the films and enjoy it because they can relate to school very easily.

The American voice-over accent could establish to the audience the fact that the film could be a Disney related movie as Disney movies are always american based this would persuade the audience to watch it because they enjoy Disney movies. The funding for our film would be thoroughly based through Disney as they are established distributers.

We attracted our pre-teen boy target audience by using a male character in our film. This representation of males will attract boys to watch the film as they can share similar thoughts/ideas with the character so they may enjoy and watch the film.

Final Cut of He's the One

He's the One from Jemma Goulds on Vimeo.

From our rough cut we noticed that the quality of our voice over was not very good therefore we decided to redo the voice by using a better device, a merantz as it made the sound quality better.

Maslow's Hierachy of needs relates to films in general. Specifically our film it provides our target audience with the need of Love/Belonging this is because our film is based upon human satisfaction to love and have feelings for one another. When our audience watches the film they can obviously relate to this feeling. It also makes them feel better about themselves and could possibly help them climb up the steps reaching self actualisation. Self actualisation is where humans will feel personal growth and fulfillment. Eventually our film audience can feel this if they act upon the feelings they experienced from watching the film by possibly finding love.

Evaluation Question 7: Looking back at your preliminary task what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

AP preliminary task from Jemma Goulds on Vimeo.

From this preliminary task the basic things that we learned was the basic editing skills of the camera. We had difficulty creating a match on action shot. However progressing from our preliminary task to our new film opening we have advanced in establishment of the match on action, zooming and maintaining a balanced shot. Our use of lighting tutorials helped us to make a film without any uneccesary dark shots.

Evaluation Question 6: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

We used various different equipments to aid us with the production of our film. We learnt how to use Adobe After Effects. This programme helped us with the technical editing that we needed for our film. For example without After Effects have been able to import images and edit them to our advantage. For example by making animation to our production logo. Also our Credits. We made the credits in Adobe After Effects where we experimented with the colour, size, font and transistions.

For Adobe Premier Pro, there was numerous things we did. We edited our film in many ways, adding our soundtrack, adding music files, and our voiceover. Especially we were able to add in various effects, lighting, transitions, fading etc.

The camera that we used were very advanced video cameras. These equipement made it possible to do the shooting. Also with the aid of a tripod we were able to film footage in a professional manner

Also the advanced social networking and interactive sites made it possible for the ease of communicating with our group members and the production of our film. These include

Facebook

Youtube
Flickr
Google
Glogster
